The Kongsberg XN

Faced with growing competition from low-cost manufacturing regions Central Midori is investing in digital processes to reduce - and when possible eliminate - tooling costs and shorten lead-time. Recently the company received its first digital cutting table from ESKO (Belgium). The Kongsberg XN is a multi-function digital cutting machine perfectly suited for the very thin substrates used in the production of flexible printed electronics.

Asked about the investment strategy of Central Midori Pascal Delloue, GM commented: “With the support of our parent company Demmel Gruppe, we are determined to embrace digital processes to provide a better service to our existing customers and attract new ones, after 2 CNC lasers and this new digital cutter we are now turning our attention towards digital printing.”
